Cath is a freshman at the University of Nebraska. She is a bit awkward, prefers late night library writing sessions to parties and is struggling to fit in IRL. Her people exist online, both fictional characters from a Harry Potter like universe, and real life fans of her Baz/Simon (think Draco/Harry) ff. I really liked Cath. Cath and Wren are twins and fangirls of a Harry Potter-esque fantasy series. The books and the fandom helped them through many tough times. Now that they are off to college, Wren wants to leave all that behind for a fresh start while Cath prefers to stay in her room writing fanfiction. This is a character driven coming-of-age story. I really like Rainbow Rowell's style - great character development that really rings true, and good writing. This feels like a YA novel to me, in a very good way - I'm not sure how that gets decided. In any case, I recommend it - engaging but not heavy.
