In description, this book had so much promise, but I found the execution to be less than ideal. I haven't read many of James Patterson's books, but I do notice he seems to have a new one out every month and all are co-authored, so I suspect that has a large part to do with why I wasn't impressed, that he's going for quantity, not quality.

A fast paced thriller in which animals have some kind of weird reaction that makes them start attacking humans. After more research into the why, the scientists discover possible causes. A good read until about 80% where the predictability factor was laid out and the ending was somewhat of a let down. It was worth the few bucks, but also reminded me why I haven't read a Patterson book in quite some time.

I started skipping paragraphs, pages and the realized that I just didn't care. I wanted to read more about people being pulled apart by lions, but it was more politics than anything else.

I loved that this was so different than an Alex Cross novel, yet I kept picturing Alex Cross as the main character in the beginning. I really enjoyed this book, the concept, the characters, just everything about it. I looked forward to the television series, but I found the first episode so boring in comparison to the book that I never could watch another one.
