Wow, I really didn't expect to like this book that much. I had recently read Gone Girl, which this isn't that similar other than it features twisted, damaged people, but was looking for something that felt close to the same. I was almost sorry that I decided to pick this up as I literally could not put it down and ended up staying up past my bedtime yesterday.

This is going to make a great movie! I love books like this that are narrated by a few of the characters instead of just one.

I read this in about a day and a half, which I think says something about the pacing and stickiness of the narrative. What has she seen from the train?

And I had the mystery figured out with about 1/3 of the book remaining, so it was a tad anticlimatic overall. Still, it was a pretty twisted story with some interesting c

4 stars for sheer entertainment factor. Talked about screwed up people! The people in this book show me that I have my sh*t together; everybody in this book is a mess. Everyone of them. And although I can't say I liked any of them very much, I can say the story kept me turning and turning. At some point thru this book, every character was my main suspect, but I really didn't put it together till it came together in the book. ...more
