Sedaris returns with more anecdotes and essays. The best/most humorus of which are the ones he performs in front of a live audience. He regales readers with stories of his father, living in England, his high school "girlfriend", learning new languages, traveling the world, and much more. He even includes several fiction stories for students to perform for Forensics. ...more

I LOVE David Sedaris. I'm not a huge fan of his darker stuff, though, so I found myself skipping a few of these (too many dead animals for me). But he's still as funny as ever. I will never forget his description of his new passport picture. ...more

I was at first taken aback at the satirical chapters peppered with the experiences of others but now I crave more and more. If anything, it highlighted the intimate nature of his personal chapters even more. I laughed, I gasped and I chortled!
