What Members Thought
The problem with this book, for me, is that I don't identify with Holden Caulfield, at all. I guess a lot of people did feel like this as teenagers - still do later in life, maybe? - but nothing about this story mirrors my own experience, so I'm willing to concede that maybe a lot of people do find Salinger gives voice to feelings they couldn't articulate before they read this book, but I don't know what those feelings feel like.
