My mom bought the first 3 books in this series when my brother was in elementary school, but he was never interested, so they sat on the shelf for a while. I've been in need of a book that was totally out of the ordinary from what I read, so I figured, why not?
The reviews are right, this is a really good book. I've chosen not to see the movies, so I was able to create my own imaginitive vision of the events that unfolded, and this book did an excellent job of describing things in vivid detail.

This is my first time reading a Harry Potter book, though I watched the movies with my son as they came out. I get the love for the series (lovable characters and lots of adventures). Will I rush to read the rest? No probably one a year in the Fall sounds good.
The takeaway: all books teach you things even if you’re not realizing it.
“ It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends”.
