What Members Thought
This is a quick, well-written read covering a mere 24 hours in the life of a man dealing with intense grief while going about a regular day of being home, going to work, and socializing. It is sad, funny, insightful, and beautiful. Is has a good sense of place in the 1960s in an area that seems to be near where I grew up in Pacific Palisades. The main character is an English professor, providing the sort of university scenes that I always enjoy. I'll have to read more Isherwood.
