I read a lot of YA, but it's all fantasy and dystopia. not bad, not great. all i remember is that the kid's name was charlie, and there was a car. i wanted more.

I had been meaning to read this for years, and finally got around to it when I realized there's a movie coming out. Every popular book gets made into a movie! I enjoyed the Perks of Being a Wallflower, but I would have enjoyed it so much more had I been a lot younger. Teenagers eat this stuff up, and I would have too. It tackles a lot of issues, so if you're getting it for a young person, make sure they're ready to talk about drugs and sex and abuse and suicide, etc.
