What Members Thought
I loved this book, this series really, as a child. I must have read them 3 or 4 times a year until I was in my mid-teens. And now, when I go back, I find them rather stale and dry. I abandoned this one but will return to it eventually (I opted to listen to the first Harry Potter instead.) So I'm dropping the rating to a 4 from a 5.

I originally read this book as a child and loved the story, I also loved the TV Show and for me at the time it really brought the characters to life. Re-reading it now, I still love it just as much and I can now see the references to religion and christianity throughout the book, that I just didn't get as a child.
