This series is probably the only series I've ever read which begs me to re read it as soon as I finish a book. This compulsion probably stems from the intricate storyline which gives clues only when you know what you're looking for.
The characters feel genuine while the plot seems like some dream that starts off like any normal day and then quickly turns fantastical or sinister at the drop of a hat. There are ley lines whose energy is drawing more and more people into the hunt for an Ancient Wels ...more

I didn't love the first book in this series, and wasn't especially inspired to read any additional ones but Ronan was definitely my favorite part of the Raven Boys, so I gave this a shot.
Premise: People dream weird stuff, and everyone is looking for a puzzle piece that will help find the dead king and then wishes will be granted. Or something. There is also waaaay too many car bits and nobody works. Ever.

It's hard to put into words why I like this book. I LOVE the characters and I LOVE Maggie Stiefvater's writing style and I LOVE Will Patton (the audiobook reader). I liked the first book in the series, but I loved this book. There are some "F" words-which ugh, but I love these characters so much. Pete also loves this series, so it's fun to talk about together.

This is the 2nd book in the Raven Cycle, and, while I typically don’t love YA, this is just the escapism I need at the moment! I liked this one a little better than the first, as it answered some questions I had. I appreciate the author’s sharp writing and think she is insanely creative.
