I thought this was a fun trip through world history. The book divides the world timeline into beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea and Coca-Cola ages. Really interesting!
Informative, and well paced. The first two chapters on wine and beer where somewhat more boring than the rest of the book on spirits, coffee, tea and soda. An enjoyable read nonetheless about the start of various western civilizations and the countries and empires overlapped and influenced each other in ways often forgotten about.

Text was interesting. Narrator was a bit monotone, making it easy to not pay close attention.
