Still action packed, fast paced and unputdownable. This thick book doesn't feel thick at all. The ingenious way of George RR Martin that hooks up his readers is to make all characters special, far from boring, and not one dimensional at all. You can empathize easily with them, even the evil ones. And he's cleverly put some side characters as our main eyes in some chapters, so we could see the story from different point of views.
