Of course by now everyone knows about the literary brilliance that was Stieg Larsson. I purposely am taking my time with this series because the characters; though they live on in my memory; died with Larsson. Lisbeth is such a memorable and strangely lovable character. Given the opening few pages of the book, I wasn't certain I could go into the gruesomeness and drama of another of Stieg Larsson's books again. However, I forged ahead, and I'm very glad I did. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one - more Lisbeth, but also a long entwined crime plot, lots of side-characters and decoys and excellent relationship writing about the men in Lisbeth's life. Lisbeth is a fascinating character and I loved getting more of her story. I liked this one even better than the first book.
