When I read Dashiel Hammet’s Red Harvest, I researched the authors’ opinion of the character, a tough talking, no-nonsense Continental Opp who takes on a corrupt town by himself. The no name detective has since become Clint Eastwood in Fistful of Dollars, and Toshiro Mitfune in Yojimbo, with other minor adaptions. Lisbeth is a fascinating character and I loved getting more of her story. I liked this one even better than the first book.
