I read it for book. lib. Obviously, a classic--but not the type of style I would otherwise choose to read.
I only got halfway through this in high school, so I went back and read it to see what I thought now. I still found it to be over-hyped. I think I originally thought it would be scarier or at least eerie. There was more of that in the second half of the book, but still not enough to make it an engaging read for me. The monster becomes a better character than the creator and I wish more of the book was seen through his eyes or followed his travels.
I want to listen to every audiobook Dan Stevens narrates. He is perfection. This book is very entertaining with his narration.
