Given the time this book was written and target audience it could be a 4 star.

I'm reading this as part of the popsugar 2015 Ultimate Reading Challenge, "book from your childhood." This will be the only reread on the list for me.
I know I read this when I was young, but I don't remember it well. Reading it is like walking down a dark hallway, and every step sets off a motion-detector light, and I see a familiar hallway ... but I still don't know what is ahead, exactly. I just have a vague memory of tripods, and pet humans, and a walled city.

Good dystopian....much better than I thought it would be.
