I'm rating this one a 4 - something I usually give to happy romances with all the plots tied up by story's end - but this book, my 2nd Sarah Waters, was not one of those. Rather, it's getting a 4 from me because it became one of those books that I couldn't put down, didn't want to put down, couldn't read fast enough.
