Nearly 47 hours of audio, and somehow I got through it--almost happily. This book is horribly redundant. Different narrators repeat eat other and themselves--partially because we see thing from different characters' perspectives and partially because it was a trilogy, but it even repeats itself within a passage. As annoying as that was, I enjoyed the book. There's fantasy, metaphor, dystopia, suspense, romance, and more, all wrapped into one flawed yet enjoyable novel. Read it with a book club s

Loved this til about 2/3rds of the way in. Then I really just wanted it to get to the point and be done already. I love Murakami's writing but I have to say, I'm usually disappointed by the endings.

This story was compelling from the beginning and drew me in immediately. There were some situations in the book that could be upsetting to some people. Overall, it was very good.
