What Members Thought

Compelling and easy to read, if relatively faithful to the typical post-apocalyptic distopian YA. I enjoyed it, read the whole thing in two days, and am looking forward to starting the next one tonight. This will definitely be a series I'll be sad to see end, and I'll be shocked if it isn't a movie sometime soon.

Matched trilogy, book one.
Much like Jonas's world in The Giver, Cassia's Society keeps everyone happy by controlling every detail of their lives. Cassia is approaching her 17th birthday and looking forward to her matching ceremony, where she will meet the boy who The Society has chosen as her match. When two faces appear, Cassia faces a choice for the first time in her life. Will she take the safe path recommended by The Society, or create her own path?

Not sure what it is about me and YA dystopian fiction lately - but I'm liking this one so far. Let's see how the series goes.

Wow. Feels like Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 done modern. Writing is only good but the story and characters are humdinger.

Great teen dystopia!!! Can't wait to read the next one.

This was a creative book, but the characters didn't pull me in as much as other books like this-such as Uglies by Scott Westerfield and Hunger Games. I will keep reading the series to find out what happens though.

Another very well written dystopian YA series. The world has been well thought and created so that it doesn't feel one dimensional at all.
