It's a delicious read, perfect elements in every way: mysterious secret, an enigma of a character (Rebecca~ who are you??), and a very naive but sympathetic unnamed heroine. And the setting itself - Manderley, the gothic, dark but magnificent house that had so many secrets from the past.

This time I listened to it, and the narrator is incredible and perfect.

I first read this book as a freshman in high school. Nearly 15 years later, I couldn't remember why I loved it so much. Now I do - it's suspenseful, romantic and heart breaking all at once. I'm glad I picked it up again as a grown woman.
