Good, good, good! I cannot believe how emotional this book has made me. I was a blubbering mess by the end. Okay, maybe not that bad, but I did cry a little. I must admit, the technical parts were a bit rough for me, and I almost cast the book aside because of them. I am so glad I kept reading! I think this is going to be a movie, so I am also glad that I know what happens, so I wont be as freaked out as everyone else while watching the intense parts. Haha! And there are some inense moments, let

Alternate title: MacGyver on Mars! There is a lot of duct tape in this survival story. I know that people absolutely love this book, but I say wait for Matt Damon on the big screen. I am not a huge fan of fictionalized survival stories, but I do like speculative fiction/sci-fi. I think if I watch the movie, I might like that version better.

Mark, a botanist and engineer, uses everything he knows to cobble together fixes with the materials at hand. He’s a smartass and his journal entries were often laugh-out-loud funny.

Enjoyable and funny (at times). Definitely worth the read even if you've seen the movie already.
