I enjoyed this more than I would have thought - it starts off slow, and I had a hard time understanding all the devices and the caste system at first. I still struggled with a lot of the world building and keeping the characters straight at the end, but the protagonist is strong enough that he is able to carry the story. Scifi BookClub Sept 2016 / Audiobook:
I have so many strong, problem opinions about and reactions to this book. I the wave of loving a series like The Expanse, and picking this book for the Scifi BookClub because the second in the series was voted Goodread's Best Scifi for 2015, I expected a lot of this book......and I got absolutely nothing back.

This was a very good book! The protagonist is a male, maybe my son would enjoy reading it...
Red Rising started a little slow for me, but once it got going it was a fun ride!
