Very enjoyable. It helped that the narrator of the audiobook was Rebecca Lowman. She is one of my favorite female narrators. I love her "guy" voice. I don't know why but it just works for me. This could have easily been a 5 star book if there was a little more to the ending. Not everything was wrapped up so you were left hanging on a few things. But I've noticed that is quite common with Rainbow Rowell. Her books are amazing but the ending kind of falls flat. Epilogues would help that out a lot.

As a book, there were many things that didn't work for me, like, oh, the magic phone thing? But I did like the way Georgie's marriage unfolded across time and space. I liked Rowell's use of archaic technology (the landline! !) and how it evokes memories of crushes and relationships I had during the days of landlines. I thought most of the characters were pretty flat and unexciting, but there were some moments of greatness. Just not a book's worth of greatness.

I like this book, but I'm not the biggest fan of Neal. I know that it only really makes the story work if he never calls her in the present or answers the phone, but damn, that is so messed up.
