I'd read some of Allie Brosh's work online prior to picking up this book, but not enough to remember what I was getting myself into. While I in general detest the look of her art, Brosh does a great job conveying messages--thoughts, feelings, animal's behavior, etc.--with this basic, inelegant art. She writes with what seems to be brutal honesty, sometimes very unflattering to herself, and I have to respect that. I also respect that she has accomplished anything in her life, given the struggles

Most, if not all, of the stories are recycled from Allie's blog, which was somewhat disappointing. However, it was great to re-read some of the laugh out loud hilarious stories (like the attack goose) over again.

I love Allie Brosh's blog, so of course I found the book hilarious. While she recycled some content that I'd already read, it was fun to see it on the page, and there were some pieces I hadn't seen before. So, so funny and true and sometimes really heartbreakingly real.
