It's a good read if you were ever curious about the other side of the Oz. This book gives an opportunity to really understand the witch and maybe realize that she wasn't wicked at all. There are some slow parts which makes the book a little tough to get through.

So much better than expected, now I really need to go see the play. Love this different view of good and evil.

An excellent summer read. It's long, so invest some time, but it's fun. I must say I like the storyline of the musical, which is drastically different, a bit better.

I have tickets for Wicked in February, so I wanted to be prepared. I've never read any of Baum's originals, but I was intrigued by the social/political/religious/ethical dilemmas that Maguire's Oz faced. I'm having a hard time imagining which parts of this epic will be included in the musical, but I'm excited to find out.

This book was wonderful! Witty and intelligent. As a fan of the Wizard of Oz, I loved this new perspective on the story. I can't wait to read Son of a Witch.

I loved the premise and the first third of this book. It was downhill from there.
I did like it but it was hard to read.
I'd rather watch the musical again :)
