This title in the series took me a bit longer to get through, but it has nothing to do with the book itself. I started pre-service meetings to return to teaching around the same time that I started reading this one, and I spent a lot less time up at night reading, consequently.
But the sheer expanse of this book, and the number of pages, also had something to do with it.

Really liked the early sections. The book is one disaster after another, to the point of being a bit comical at times, but still enjoyed it a lot.
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in this one, so it gets 3.5 stars instead of 4. Not that I'm not engrossed by Claire and Jamie, and their story, but there was just too much happening in the middle of this book for me. It seems like every disaster that could come on their voyage, did, and a few that you'd never imagine as well. I will, however be reading the next one to follow their adventures.

If you wanted to stop with the series, at least this one wrapped most everything up. I love a good long meandering read, and this gave me just that. I already have the 4th one though, because for whatever reason, I want more.
The Outlander series never disappoints with a great story!
