Format: Softcover and Audiobook. I highly recommend the audiobook, the narrator is fantastic and even though it is a million hours long, I missed her voice when I was done!
What it's like: Just like the amazing show, and a little bit like Poldark.
What I loved: Claire and Jaime. Their love is everything and their desire to work their way back to each other, support each other's independence, but still always have each other's backs is inspiring and goddamn beautiful. It ...more

I can't re-read this series fast enough. This book is so heartbreaking. The time that they spend apart, the wasted years, the everything!

Best of the series so far
This is by far the best book I've read in this series. The pace, action and characters are so well developed, it really sucked me in. I really enjoyed the different timelines and new characters that were introduced. Can't wait to read the rest of the books now. ...more

Wow! What a powerful read, you get sucked right in on page one. She writes so descriptively! Sometimes that leads to some very graphic, stomach turning scenes but it's all part of the journey. The thing about Gabaldon, at least with this series, is that she leaves lusting for more.
