What Members Thought
This isn't a zombie book per se. It's more of a political thriller with a terrible contagious disease thrown into the mix. The pros: World-building - the author does a fantastic job of creating this fictional world and immersing the reader in its history; characters - the two main characters and their bond was well drawn and realistic. In a future where we’ve cured both cancer and the common cold, humans have once again created unintended consequences that are worse than the original problems. The interaction between the two cures has created a new disease that causes the dead to rise, driven only to feed and spread the contagion.
So, I didn’t love this, partly because I’m tired of zombies in general and partly because this book was at least 200 pages too long.

loved the world-building/background info. did not love the characters nor the fact the main plot didn't even start until about halfway through the book.
