What Members Thought

I loved this book, its characters and its setting. I liked that the world building wasn’t cumbersome. I liked the cast of characters. I even liked the portrayals of difficult parent/child relationships.
Even with its deep themes, especially those around family, I found this book an engaging read that left me feeling lighter than before I read it. I highly recommend it!

Not my usual reading fare but this story is pretty compelling. It does a great job of showing the main character's life over time and with momentum. The other characters and were pretty rich, including the main protagonist, and the world was interesting. There was a refreshing minimum of plot-based youthful foolishness (I mean, there was some, but it's fine).
