Between this and To All The Boys I Loved Before, I am apparently all in for the 'fake relationship turns into real love' romance trope

*squeals* Super-cute debut contemporary romance about a smart woman who gets stuck in an elevator with a hot guy who turns out to need a date for a wedding that weekend...which turns into a one night stand then something else entirely. Whip-smart multi-layered writing that infuses Alexa and Drew’s story with discussions of race, body positivity, and privilege. (Also Gold Star for condom usage EVERY time one was called for plus consent positive sexytimes)

Prior to last year’s Read Harder Challenge, I had never read a romance novel and I certainly did not expect to enjoy them. Despite that fact, this is now the second romance novel I have read that I absolutely loved! This is a (mostly)realistic and definitely engaging story with many characters to root for. I can wait to read Jasmine Guillory’s other books in this series!

Charming book about a doctor and lawyer who get trapped in an elevator and decide to be each others dates for an upcoming wedding. Keep it light and breezy just a weekend fling, but there are sparks and chemistry and soon they are flying back and forth every weekend and can these sparks turn into something more?
