Alexa and Drew are trapped in an elevator together, they make some witty banter, and then Drew asks her to be his fake girlfriend at a wedding the next day. Contemporary romance. Fairly hot on the sensuality scale. The characters were appealing and the conflicts keeping them apart (living in different cities, fear of commitment) were believable and not overly melodramatic.

I loved this book. I especially appreciated the inclusion of POC and the social problems they deal with consistently. It was eye opening for me and helped me with my woke-ness (I'm a cis white lady so I have lots to work on in that regard).
