I read this via DailyLit (http://www.dailylit.com/), It was supposed to take me 430 days, but I finished it in just 9 months, so clearly I was sneaking some extra reading in there. All of this is to say, Anna Karenina is good! I am so happy that I read it - and that I discovered DailyLit, which broke it down into manageable chunks for me and made it seem less intimidating. One less book on the "I should really read this someday" list.

I understand why Anna Karenina is a classic, beloved and incredibly respected epic, I do. That being said, for one who has no stomach for long descriptions, exhausting self-meditations or philosophical conversations it's very tiresome. And seriously, by the end there, Anna was insufferable. Sigh... I need a light read now!
