I loved this story, loved the author's writing, and loved his narration. I was completely engrossed and read it all in one day. I particularly enjoyed listening to a character say the f-bomb about 300x in a row... it just kept going and going and I couldn't stop laughing and imagining the author recording those lines in a sound booth. The build up immediately before the resolution was more exciting and satisfying than the ending itself, but this did not take away from my overall appreciation for ...more

This is a crazy roller coaster of a story. First, Tom isn't a particularly likable character, especially in the beginning of the book. I guess he fits the stereotype of a directionless millennial, unable to settle himself into a career or find a girlfriend that can stand him for long. A sci-fi light novel about time travel but more about learning about what you value in life. Tom Barren lives on Earth in 2016 in a world that is straight out of Jetsons and other 1960's visions of the future. There are flying cars, clothing recycling/generating machines, teleporters, and more.
