Very interesting history of salt, which I'd never really wondered where salt came from before. It's gotten into almost every crevice and corner of human history.

While I found the topic and presentation interesting, at times I found myself wishing the book would just end. It may have been the inclusion of all the recipes, I can't really cite any specific issue. I'm glad I read it, but I'm glad it ended.
