Been a while since I read a classic and this one is apparently a good choice! My first time reading Oscar Wilde and it didn't disappoint. Dorian Gray and his moral contemplation is easy enough to be followed, unlike some harder classics from the same era, witty enough so I could laugh in some parts, but still memorable enough to become a classic. Also, I just realized that I finished this book on Wilde's birthday! Yeay :)

In the preface to The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde says, "There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well-written, or badly written. That is all." Whether Wilde is right in this assertion or not, his book falls firmly into the former category. In fact, this is the most well-written book that I've read in a long time. Wilde clearly loves language and I thoroughly enjoyed his acerbic wit and insight into humanity's triumphs, failures and frailties

I didn't finish this, but I did listen to about 65%. Boring, and no good female characters.
