This book addressed so many issues that teenagers face in such an authentic way that I have nothing to complain about. The author did a marvelous job developing the characters and getting us to love them deeply with such finesse and simplicity that I wasn't even aware how invested I was until I finished the book in less than 24 hours. There were some things about this that I loved and other things that were really really annoying. Overall it was just eh, but I do know that loads of people loved it so at least there is that.
The good: The evolution of the relationship between Ari and Dante was excellent. I didn't love the characters, but I loved their interactions together. I heard about this at an IRC session in the spring, and I was so excited to finally get my hands on it! I have a hard time finding books that I can recommend to boys. I feel like the majority of books out there perceived as “boy books” are more sports focused...which is fine, but not something I’m terribly interested in. In my experience, it seems like the boys have a harder time finding stuff to read than the girls, so I’m always on the lookout for really good books that will appeal to BOTH gen ...more

This is a beautiful story about love; parental love, friendship love, and romantic love. The characters are believable and relatable and the format as well as the storyline make for a quick read. Unfortunately, there were many editing errors, which was distracting at times but I would definitely recommend it!
