This book is legit hilarious, literal-LOL worthy. (As you could probably guess if you're familiar with Phoebe Robinson's comedy--although I am too often disappointed by comedians' books. Not here!)

It's a great mix of personal stories, essays about working in comedy, black American culture...all very funny and also very timely. Almost 4 stars. She's funny, tells some good stories and makes you laugh and think. I didn't love her letters to [her 2 year old niece] Olivia at the end, because they seemed contrived and like letters I would never ever actually give to my niece. (But maybe that's because I'm a prude. Whatever.) I think she could have written one letter, and included her other points in essays written for those topics. I wanted to love this a lot more than I did. This wasn't as funny or interesting as I expected. That title is genius, and really raised my expectations! I do t read blogs or watch vlogs or watch much TV, so I'd never heard of Phoebe Robinson, but I looked her up and learned she's a stand-up comedian who had been on The Daily Show, so I thought the audiobook would be great.
