So, monsters are real. Surprise.

For some reason I’d never considered this.

Or—I’m lying again: one monster’s real, anyway.

And I get the sense that’s just how he likes it.

I read one or two stories each day, and it’s best that way, in small doses. Because the stories are all pretty similar: regular guy, regular life, and than ... uh-oh ... bad and unsettling and vaguely paranormal shit happens to the guy who is already down on his luck. So many good, unlikely horror stories here. These stories don’t make me afraid to turn off the lights but they do leave me with a creepy, unsettled feeling.
