This dark fantasy comic is unpredictable and original, both in its story and the artwork. I enjoyed the feeling of being off-kilter throughout - I never could quite find my footing here, but I really want to keep reading and trying to! It was a much darker read than my normal fare, but I did enjoy the gorgeous artwork and the fierceness and danger of the main character, Maika Halfwolf. 3.5 confusing but good, not sure if the story jumped in time as much as i thought it did and there was a twist at the end that left me reeling a bit and a bit mad since i felt the storytelling had lied to us... but well author's prerogative
