True confession: I have never read Jane Eyre. Is it your favorite book? Should I read it? It sounds so, IDK, terrible. What I do find inspiring is taking a fictional character and gathering strength from fictional pages. I read this as part of the Book Riot Read harder challenge, and really had trouble rating it because I had trouble separating the story from the genre. I liked the story and the lesson it taught kids, but reading it really reinforced my general disinterest in reading graphic novels. I may have to try again with a more adult focused graphic novel, but I knew I didn't want to read a superhero or violent one, so this was recommended.
