What an amazingly fun book! Engaging, quirky characters with depth and feeling, twists and turns to keep you guessing, lovable protagonist, and a great resolution. The only thing keeping it from five stars for me is that I feel like the author really stretched the "found documents" idea in many cases, with characters supposedly relating detailed dialog in e-mails, letters, and faxes. I honestly don't get the hype on this one. Interesting structure, but I didn't laugh once. Maybe a snicker or two, but it just wasn't my sense of humor. Overall, a little too clever for it's own good with a few decent moments. Pretty forgettable.

Wow, so this book was funnier than I expected! It's a great satire of tech culture, and upper middle-class suburbia. Bee is one of the most realistic teenagers I've seen in a while. It has things I love: unreliable narrators all over, plus it's an epistolary novel.
