Stop anthropomorphizing electrons, you asshole.
I just couldn't handle the scattered approach to the first few chapters. Keen just jumps from topic to topic too quickly and uses so many cute descriptive metaphors for my scientist brain. I like non-fiction that doesn't have a hypothesis to prove. It's just a person following weird ideas that make up a bigger idea (see also: Mary Roach). The biggest problem is that it's just too long. I started to get super bored a little over halfway through.
