I was a little nervous when I picked up this book because I did not enjoy "She's Come Undone," the other book by Wally Lamb that I had read. I found this story to be incredibly engaging and moving, granted that may because of similarities from this book to my own family.

I loved this book -- what an engrossing story! And it covers pretty much everything -- mental illness, domestic violence, recent U.S. history, immigrants, native americans, love, family, coming to terms with anger. I was sucked into the story and couldn't wait to see how it ended.
