Reading this book in conjunction with Barbara Kingsolver's "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" taught me a lot about my food supply, and gave me a lot to think about.
Is it sustainable for my family to consume oranges and bananas? Does it make a difference if they're grown organically yet trucked across the country in refrigerated trailers?

Fascinating and very informative. Some parts were kind of technical. That probably makes it not the best choice for an audiobook, since it's not always easy to focus on a book when driving, but I imagine my mind would have wandered when reading those parts anyway. Really made me think about what I'm choosing to put in my body!

There are two books that have seriously influenced my food choices: My Year of Meats and The Food Revolution: How Your Diet Can Help Save Your Life and Our World. This may be the third... if I ever get around to finishing it.
