I enjoyed this book more than Uglies. Not only due to the fact that I read this one instead of listening, but (like Carolyn) I also thought the plot was more dynamic. And I enjoyed the development of Tally’s character as she learned to grasp the subtleties of beauty and romantic love in this book. Looking forward to polishing off the third book soon!

A great follow-up to Uglies. Like Uglies, it made me ask myself some tough questions about conformity, beauty and subversiveness. This series also presents an interesting view of our world (3 centuries prior to this book).
This second book is even better than the first book in this series. The main character is really evolving and growing. She is growing into her strength.
