Didn't love this one in the series. I thought it glorified some harmful teenage behaviors (without meaning to, likely, but I can see how it could be taken the wrong way). I didn't love the new characters or the "love triangle". And maybe I'm the only one, but I cannot stand Shay's character. I didn't see the same depth from the characters I saw last time. I liked Uglies better, but I guess that's the way it usually goes. I liked being able to see the wider Guly/Pretty universe. This is not truly a stand-alone book though, as I felt the ending was really a "to be continued" and I'm now forced to read the third book.
