Updated to remove my old 5-star rating, because I don't think any of us should give JK Rowling and her opinions any attention. Original review below:

I first read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows immediately after it was published, and I hadn't revisited it or the rest of the series since then. Coming back to it a decade later, I found I remembered almost nothing of what happened in the final book, so it felt full of fresh surprises.

I don’t want to give away any plot spoilers for those who are still waiting to read it, so I will merely say this: Rowling is a consummate storyteller. The pace was nonstop and overwhelming at times, but not so much that it didn’t fit with the story and what the main characters are supposed to be feeling. I still need to process my thoughts about the book, but it may become my favorite of the septet. It will be reread — and soon.

Ahhh, what a satisfying end to a wonderful experience.
By now those of us who are fans all knew how we wanted the books to end. What I will miss is the feeling of sharing a brand new book with so many people. That will never happen again.

This book was one of my favorites in the series. Very hard to put down. It wrapped up a little neatly, but that's okay in children's stories. I was sad to say goodbye to these characters. ...more

I just re-read the entire series, one after the other. All of the books are great. It was very fun to have the time to read them all back to back!
