My kids love all three of Raina Telgemeier's books, and they've been pestering me for a few years now to read them; I wanted to, but I just never got around to it. This year's Popsugar Reading Challenge includes a "road trip" category, and I don't know what it is about road trips and me, but none of the books looked good. 3.5 stars, really. Raina really wanted a little sister when she was younger, but then she didn't like the sister she got. The book is largely the family drive from CA to CO for a reunion, with a lot of flashbacks, as the sisters' relationship goes through some changes. But while it was funny and fun and the art was lovely, there didn't feel like enough plot. And then it just suddenly ended. So it sort of felt like a lovely, long winded vignette. I wanted more.

Raina creates another beautiful memoir of her teenage years.

A graphic novel about typical sisters growing up and getting on each others' nerves, but still loving each other. Illustrating the beauty of headphones and the necessity of taking rest stops seriously all in a realistic feeling account of a typical family. I like the illustration style and how it adds to the story.
