So I read this as part of my work genre study of romance - a genre I don't really ever read and generally don't enjoy. I picked up a Jennifer Crusie because she had been recommended as being a little more contemporary and funny. Plus three of my GoodReads friends really liked this one so I thought I'd give it a try.

It was a box of godiva chocolate. Rich and delicious.
One large thing sets this apart from other romances.
The hero and heroine don't want children. That's a huge thing and I really love it.
As someone dealing with infertility I enjoy reading about people who have found happy lives without rocking a cradle. It helps.
There are truck sized plot-holes and suspension of disbelief, but still a very sweet book, well written, and just good. ...more

This was the first Crusie book I read and I absolutely love it. While she's on my auto-buy (or at least auto-checkout) list, this still remains my favorite book of hers. I love her atypical heroines, especially where age and size are concerned. This book is funny, sexy, and an all-time favorite.

I liked this book a lot more than I was expecting. I don't usually read "chick lit" but I was looking for a change of pace, and this book got good reviews. I found myself utterly charmed. I LIKED the main two characters, they seemed like real people I'd want to hang around with, I understood their interactions.
