So I read this as part of my work genre study of romance - a genre I don't really ever read and generally don't enjoy. I picked up a Jennifer Crusie because she had been recommended as being a little more contemporary and funny. Plus three of my GoodReads friends really liked this one so I thought I'd give it a try.

It was a box of godiva chocolate. Rich and delicious.

One large thing sets this apart from other romances.

The hero and heroine don't want children. That's a huge thing and I really love it.

As someone dealing with infertility I enjoy reading about people who have found happy lives without rocking a cradle. It helps.

There are truck sized plot-holes and suspension of disbelief, but still a very sweet book, well written, and just good.

I LIKED the main two characters, they seemed like real people I'd want to hang around with, I understood their interactions. What I didn't like was the false quirkiness the author imbued the secondary characters with ... the parents were just TOO evil, the nephew was just TOO loveable, the best friend was just ...more

Fun, easy read. It definitely could have been edited down in a few places, as halfway through, I sort of expected the book to be wrapping up.
