This is more important now than it was when first released, and if released sometime in 2017, people would say DeConnick really captures the perverse nature of Trump's America. Turns out, DeConnick is kind of a prophet. Her idea and story are engaging, even if it moves a little slow at times, and gets too caught up on the sports theme here and there. Though, that's another good bit of social commentary. Accompanied by De Landro's gritty art, it's a book that has a lot of power.

I've read a lot of comics, but this is the first one I've ever purchased, and I'm glad I did. I'll throw my financial support whole-heartedly behind this work, in which women who are labeled non-compliant by the men in charge of society get sent to an off-planet prison facility. Read it.

Bitch Planet is the second graphic novel (if that's the correct term for this) that I've read and the second one that I enjoyed...I'm loving my record so far.
It was a really interesting satirical take on a dystopia -- specifically, a world where "non-compliant" women are shipped off-planet to be corralled and controlled.
